It is time for people to know about Law in Cambodia precisely, recently National Assembly just adopted many laws such as Penal code, Press Law, and NGOs Law, about which many NGOs (Non Government Organization ) are concerning.
On January 14 to 16, 2011, we had conference at Sihanouk Ville that this event was joint from
many organizations like Extraordinary Charmber of Court in Cambodia and this event organized by Konrad Andenauer Foundation.
What i can learn from this Event are both International and National Law, some of which I have never ever learned before. As I join in this great event, I felt I was a little bit active because I can ask and discuss with knowledgeable people both inside and outside country. In this event, we had discussed NGOs Law, so it is clearer for me to see this law through. And I can know what going on in society precisely.
Besides this Law, We had discussed academic freedom, which states about students' rights and professors' right, and what students or professors should do while studying or training.
We had discussed plenty of Law but i just mentioned a few because of my understanding.
I strongly believe that we will have such an event next time and I hope I can join it second time.
